Colorado home inspectors must meet regulations for trade practices and consumer protection. However, there is not currently a state test or a state home inspector license in Colorado.

Colorado Radon Testing (Radon Measurement) Requirements:
To be licensed or registered for radon testing / radon measurement in Colorado, radon testers are required to be certified through National Radon Safety Board (NRSB) or National Environmental Health Association (National Radon Proficiency Program) (NEHA-NRPP). This includes taking a NEHA or NRSB approved radon course, and the certification exam. In Colorado you are also required to submit a complete application, with requested attachments, to complete the licensing/registration process.
When you have completed the approved radon measurement course, you will register for the NEHA or NRSB exam. Both organizations require that you complete an approved course, pass their certification exam, and maintain your certification with continuing education each year.
