North Carolina Home Inspector Licensing Requirements:
To become a home inspector in North Carolina, inspectors must complete the following:
1) Minimum 1 year as an Associate Home Inspector with a minimum of 100 inspections.
2) Licensed General Contractor, Architect or Professional Engineers are exempt are exempt from doing apprenticeship.
3) Pass Exam. Renewal credits 12 hours Continuing Education.
In NC you need to download, complete and submit your application to the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensing Board before you receive exam details. Submitting this application does not register you for the examination. The Board's staff will mail you an Exam Registration form once your application has been approved.
